Worship Committee, June 2008

The Worship Committee takes care of a number of “behind the scenes” duties, and also has some responsibilities to see that the services run smoothly week after week.  As chairperson, I am truly indebted to Lois, who keeps tabs on everything superbly, and to others who see that the communion materials are ready, the flowers and plants are well cared for, the candles ready to be lit, and the list goes on.

One important part of our worship is the time to be sure important announcements are made, visitors are greeted, and we greet each other.   Ideally, one person would be responsible for this five-minute interlude each Sunday for a month, but with our many comings and goings, that is sometimes impossible.  I would truly appreciate any of you who would like to perform this very important service, to let me or Lois know which Sundays you would help out.  There is a written summary of what the announcement duties consist of, and each person should feel free to project his or her own personality into them.
